When a Stranger Calls
I wasn’t too sure about this one, especially seeing as how I’d never heard of anyone who was in it! But this one turned out to be really good.
It’s based on that good old urban legend about the babysitter who gets several “prank” phone calls, asking if she’s checked the children. When a Stranger Calls was very well done, regardless of the fact that the actors were, at least to me, unknown. This one didn’t feature a lot of special effects, unless you count all the really neat stuff in the house it takes place in.
But I’ve noted that a lot of times, the simpler movies are the better ones.
This was a very good movie, and I definitely recommend it.
I’d give it 3 1/2 out of 5 stars.
