The Amityville Horror
We’re talking about the new version here. Now I had seen this in theatres when it came out. I saw it with my then roommate, Nichole. Although she liked the actor who played George, she wasn’t impressed at all with the new version of The Amityville Horror.
Myself, I thought it was a darn good recreation. It worked well for me. It had the same creepy, strange, vibe that the original had. I particularly liked the very ending. To me, the little girl resetting everything in the house to rights by screaming made the show. You could just tell she hated to be left alone in that house.
I give this one 4 out of 5 stars.
And I promise you, I AM reading a book so you don’t always get movie reviews!

Divination For Beginners: Reading the Past, Present & Future (For Beginners)
Shadow Game (Ghostwalkers, Book #1)
The Devil’s Labyrinth: A Novel
Perfect Nightmare: A Novel
Turbulent Sea (Drake Sisters, Book #6)

I saw and liked both versions, but preferred the first one better, only because I think James Brolin played the dad better. Could you imagine anyone else playing the dad in The Shining than Jack Nicholson?

Actually, The Shining was redone, and it actually followed the book more closely, but I agree that Jack Nicholson made a better dad.
